{"id":11837,"date":"2017-01-21T13:55:15","date_gmt":"2017-01-21T18:55:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/andrewbaseman.com\/blog\/?p=11837"},"modified":"2017-01-22T14:56:22","modified_gmt":"2017-01-22T19:56:22","slug":"the-new-york-ceramics-glass-fair-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/?p=11837","title":{"rendered":"The New York Ceramics &#038; Glass Fair, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past\u00a0Wednesday I attended the preview opening of the New York Ceramics &amp; Glass Fair,\u00a0the &#8220;jewel in the crown of New York\u2019s Winter Antiques Week,&#8221; at the\u00a0Bohemian National Hall in Manhattan.\u00a0My friend Bibiana and I enjoyed meeting up with\u00a0old friends and seeing what new treasures the dealers unveiled.<\/p>\n<p>At <a href=\"http:\/\/ferrincontemporary.com\">Ferrin Contemporary<\/a>\u00a0I found a striking collage by Paul Scott made from two different antique ceramic\u00a0platters with blue &amp; white transfer\u00a0decoration, melded together using\u00a0kintsugi and gold leaf. The early ribbed pewter band on the handle repairs an old hairline crack.
