{"id":12298,"date":"2017-06-03T23:23:55","date_gmt":"2017-06-04T03:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/andrewbaseman.com\/blog\/?p=12298"},"modified":"2017-06-04T18:47:03","modified_gmt":"2017-06-04T22:47:03","slug":"make-dos-curiously-repaired-antiques","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/?p=12298","title":{"rendered":"Make-Do&#8217;s: Curiously Repaired Antiques"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am pleased to be part of\u00a0<em>Make-Do&#8217;s: Curiously Repaired Antiques<\/em>, the first\u00a0exhibition of its kind\u00a0showcasing\u00a0inventive repairs, at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.boscobel.org\/events\/make-dos-curiously-repaired-antiques\/\">Boscobel<\/a>, a Federal period historically restored mansion on the Hudson River in Garrison, NY. The exhibit, which opened today and runs\u00a0through October 1, 2017, includes numerous\u00a0forms of inventive repair, including over 150 pieces from my own collection, as well as examples on loan from historical institutions, museums, and individuals. Make-do&#8217;s\u00a0are cleverly\u00a0displayed within the rooms of\u00a0the mansion and in a special\u00a0gallery exhibit.
