Actually, this was one of a pair of matching sauce boats with identical replaced handles. Knowing I did not have enough money to purchase both pieces, the dealer split up the set and sold me just one. A lovely gesture that I appreciated at the time, but now I am sorry that someone lost out on the opportunity of owning the pair<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_2201.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1246\" title=\"IMG_2201\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_2201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_2201.jpg 399w, http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_2201-300x163.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This was one of four antiques with inventive repairs I found during that memorable trip.
