It was made in China between 1750-90\u00a0for export to Europe and North America<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1947.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1913\" title=\"IMG_1947\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1947.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"437\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1947.jpg 399w, http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1947-273x300.jpg 273w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jug stands 7-1\/4&#8243; and has sustained much damage over the past 135 years. In addition to the obviously replaced handle, the lid is cracked, chipped and is missing its pomegranate finial<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1951.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1914\" title=\"IMG_1951\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1951.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1951.jpg 399w, http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1951-236x300.jpg 236w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The iron replacement handle is covered in woven rattan, itself in need of repair.
