This 8&#8243; high lamp has a lovely yellow patina in the oil reservoir from many years of use.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20581.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2260\" title=\"IMG_2058\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20581.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"465\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20581.jpg 400w, http:\/\/blog.andrewbaseman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20581-258x300.jpg 258w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was not uncommon for oil lamps to snap off at the base.
